Live on the range

Clay-target range management, re-invented.

One operator runs the whole range — from one iPad or iPhone.

Launch targets. Judge hits. Switch lanes. Check in members. All without wires to pull or an internet connection.

Compak Sporting · Sporting · Skeet · Trap

Six things only we can say

What a modern range actually needs.

Each claim is checked against the alternatives in the comparison below. None of them is a promise for later.

01

One operator runs the whole range.

Launch, judge and switch lanes from one screen — no console on each field, no runner between them.

02

Wireless hardware. Just power the thrower.

Our radio-link device attaches to any clay thrower. No control wires across your field — only the power cable the machine already has.

03

Microphones that work when the wind doesn't.

Voice release hears the shooter in any weather — and shows what's next right on the mic. A smart algorithm separates your command from a gunshot or the sound of loading. The moment you call, the target flies — no perceptible delay.

04

A modern app that doesn't need the internet.

Runs on your club's local network. No reliance on the cloud, no downtime when your broadband fails. But still a 2020s iPad/iPhone app, not a Windows desktop.

05

Tournament-grade exports.

ISSF, FITASC and ICTSF formats as standard. Squad lists in, scoresheets out, no spreadsheet wrangling between series.

06

Every shot, on every screen, everywhere.

One record of each shot, written the moment it happens — and read wherever it matters.

On the range

The operator's iPhone or iPad, the referee's screen, the shooter's phone and the TV scoreboard update at once — nobody waits for a sheet to be walked over.

For the shooter

Not a score but a history: each series, target and miss, by discipline and over time — in the same app they top up their balance with.

From anywhere

The central portal mirrors it all — shooters, targets fired and broken, balances, lane utilisation, revenue — from the office, the road, or another range.

Who it's for

Six people work at a range. All six use SHOOMS.

Pick your role. The app rearranges itself around what you actually do.

The console is the range.

Range operator

Operators don't dash around, don't shout to referees, don't lose track of who's paid for what. Lanes, shooters and queues all live on one iPad or iPhone — touch, drag, launch, done. The app was designed by watching people at work on busy weekends, then deleting everything they never used.

  • Control all lanes at once — no walking back and forth
  • Check shooters in with RFID, QR, or by name
  • Launch, score, and queue — all in real time
  • Sign in by QR scan, no passwords
  • Drag a shooter between lanes — schedule rebuilds itself

Live sync

See it, everywhere, the instant it happens.

Watch every launch, hit and miss appear at the same moment on the operator's iPad or iPhone, the referee's screen, the shooter's phone, the TV scoreboard and the self-service terminal. This is how SHOOMS actually works.

The hardware side

Connects every device a real range actually uses.

Eight kinds of equipment, one app, all wireless where it matters.

Launcher module

Controls all the clay throwers on a stand or layout from a single board.

Wireless releaser

A radio pair that fires distant throwers with no cable back to the board.

Microphone & display

Catches the shooter's call through the wind — and shows them what's next.

Self-service terminal

A kiosk where members check in and start a series — the system assigns the stand, no operator needed.

Media module

One box for the clubhouse screen and the range speakers — scores on one, announcements on the other.

Referee remote

Plugs into the Launcher module, so calls land with zero lag.

RFID reader

Contactless check-in, built for outdoor use.

5-min setup

QR + BLE

Ready in minutes with a phone — no installer, no wiring.

Range base station

Your own server, set up before it ships — just plug it in.

Tournaments

Run an event end-to-end, without the spreadsheets.

Six steps from registration list to signed results PDF, all in the same app your operators and shooters already use — no separate software, no second set of records.

Step 01

Manage participants

Drop in a CSV from your own form, a federation export, or a sign-up sheet — or add shooters one-by-one. Move every entry through registered → confirmed → cancelled / disqualified / completed. Assign bib numbers automatically — randomly, alphabetically, or by registration time — and redo them whenever the field changes. There's no limit on how many take part.

How we compare

Three camps in this market. SHOOMS is the fourth.

Hardware on its own fires targets but can't run a tournament. Apps keep a beautiful tally but never trigger a thrower. The two European rivals manage both — through a 2000s-style PC and release-control box. SHOOMS alone does it all, and it is built around a modern iPad and iPhone.

From a team that runs ranges

Built on the line, not in a meeting room.

Made by shooters, for shooters.

SHOOMS started because we were running a range ourselves and every piece of software we tried either fired targets or tallied scores — never both, none of it on iPad or iPhone, and always with a cable dragged across the stand. We built the thing we needed. It is now in daily use in Ukraine and around Europe.

Support that picks up

Quick response, real help — when you need us.

Support is part of the product, not an add-on. Direct lines, on-site engineers, made-to-order development — every channel goes to the team that builds SHOOMS, not to a first-line call centre.

Questions worth asking before a demo.

Short, honest, no asterisks.

Getting started

How long until we're up and running?

Five minutes per device — scan the QR, pair over BLE, done. Operators run unassisted after half a day, organisers after a full day for their first tournament; the guides cover the rest.

Can we try SHOOMS before committing?

Yes. You can use SHOOMS on your own range for 30 days first. Your usual shooting schedule is enough to see how it works, and you're welcome to hold a tournament with it too. Ask for it through the demo form — there is nothing to sign until you decide to keep the system.

Can I import my existing member database?

Yes — and if your current format is unusual, we'll build a converter for it as part of setup. CSV import handles names, balances, and card IDs as standard; we've moved member lists of 2,000+ in under an hour.

Compatibility

Does it work with the throwers I already have?

Yes — Promatic, Nasta, Laporte or any other make. The Wireless releaser attaches to any clay thrower with a trigger input, and where a cable is easier we drive it straight from the Launcher module. Keep what you have — we don't lock you into our hardware.

Can I run compak sporting, trap, and skeet on the same day, from one iPad?

Yes. The operator picks the discipline per lane; the Launcher module switches the firing pattern and the mic display changes its symbols. No need to restart the app.

Reliability

Does it work without internet — even mid-tournament?

Yes. SHOOMS runs on your club's local network: operator iPhone or iPad, referee screen, mic display and base station all keep working if the internet drops. You only need a connection for optional online features like the central portal, and the data catches up the moment it's back.

What if a device fails during an event — and what's the warranty?

A replacement pairs by QR + BLE in under a minute and takes over the failed unit's settings from the base station — no laptop, no IT call. Every device carries a one-year warranty; anything that breaks in that period is swapped within a week, free of charge.

Will the hardware survive winter, rain, and heat?

Yes. The Launcher module, microphone & display, and RFID reader are IP65-rated and tested from −20 °C to +50 °C. They're designed to be mounted outdoors all year round.

How far does the wireless releaser's radio reach?

Up to 1 km with a stable signal, so even the furthest thrower on a large range is covered without running a cable across the field.

Shooters & data

Do shooters need the app? What about walk-ins?

It's recommended — shooters see their stats, balance and queue position — but not required. A walk-in pays at the counter, the operator opens a session on a lane, and they step up. No app, no card.

Who owns the data, and where is it stored?

You do. Every shot, member and tournament record is yours, exported on demand as CSV or PDF. Day to day it lives on the base station at your range; if you opt into the central portal, an encrypted copy is kept on EU servers (Frankfurt and Warsaw) under a standard data-processing agreement — GDPR-compliant.

Everything else

Is it ISSF / FITASC compliant?

Formal ISSF/FITASC certification is planned for the near term. The app supports those disciplines today; the process is under way.

What languages is it available in?

Nine at launch: English, Ukrainian, German, Polish, Czech, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. More languages can be added.

Can I run multiple ranges from one account?

Yes — running several ranges from one account is built in from day one, not an add-on.

How do members top up their balance?

Today: at the counter, in cash or with staff topping up the balance. Online card payments (Stripe / PayPal) are planned.

Is support available on weekends and tournament days?

Yes — support isn't tied to office hours. When something on the line is critical, we pick up the phone whatever the day or time; there's no queue and no ticket number when a tournament's running.

Can I customise the TV scoreboard and kiosk with my club's branding?

Yes. Logo, colour palette, and your own web address for the public scoreboard are part of every plan. Larger redesigns are handled as made-to-order development.

What happens to the hardware if we cancel the subscription?

Your devices keep working, but only locally on the range and with a limited set of functions. Everything the subscription covers stops — the central portal and other online features, updates and support.
